A Luxury Collaboration Taken to the Extreme
Moncler and Mercedes-Benz teamed up with NIGO to create one of the most ambitious luxury crossovers of recent years. Under the Past II Future concept, just 20 ultra-limited Mercedes-Benz G-Class vehicles were produced, each blending high-fashion design with automotive engineering.
Fashion Meets the G-Class
The G-Wagons featured quilted panels, contrast stitching, and detailing inspired by Moncler’s alpine outerwear heritage. Design elements referenced both vintage utility wear and futuristic aesthetics, making the cars feel as much like fashion objects as vehicles.
The Clothing Capsule
Alongside the cars, the collaboration launched a limited capsule collection. Puffers, hoodies, knitwear, and outerwear mirrored the G-Class’s retro-future look while staying rooted in Moncler’s technical DNA and performance focus.
NIGO’s Influence
NIGO brought archival references, street-culture influence, and storytelling to the project. His direction helped bridge luxury fashion, motorsport heritage, and modern youth culture in a way few designers can.
More Than Just Hype
Part of the project supported charitable causes, adding purpose beyond exclusivity. It positioned the collaboration as more than a marketing moment, blending luxury, culture, and social impact.
